The legal committee of the European Parliament (JURI) has established that there is a conflict of interest between Hungarian MEP Laszlo Trocsanyi’s candidacy for EU commissioner and law firm Nagy and Trocsanyi’s receiving orders from the Hungarian state, JURI vice-chairman Sergey Lagodinsky told reporters in Brussels on Thursday.
In Laszlo Trocsanyi, Hungary nominated an excellent man as its European commissioner, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in an interview to public radio on Friday.
Laszlo Trocsanyi, Hungary’s former justice minister, has been selected as the European Union’s commissioner-designate for neighbourhood and enlargement, the executive arm of the European Union said on Tuesday.
