Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban held a meeting with the “three wise men” of the European People’s Party who are supposed to investigate whether the suspended membership of Hungary’s ruling Fidesz party should be restored or not.
“Upon the invitation of its Chair Herman Van Rompuy, the Evaluation Committee on Fidesz’s membership composed of Hans-Gert Pöttering and Wolfgang Schüssel, held an exchange of views today with Hungarian Prime Minister and Fidesz party leader Viktor Orban,” the EPP tweeted on Friday.
According to Hungarian daily Nepszava, the meeting took place in the EPP headquarters. Orban has made no statement so far.
