Austria’s ÖVP-FPÖ coalition government has been leading the country well, but it seems that an internal policy scandal can remove a government within a week, Gergely Gulyas, the Minister Heading the PM’s Office told Mandiner.hu on Wednesday.
Gulyas stressed that the remarks on this video – which was recorded illegally, with secret-service methods, he said – about the press are not in line with the Hungarian government’s policy, because they consider it a part of the country’s sovereignty, so it should be in national ownership. He added that a country can resist foreign intervention and maintain its sovereignty if the vast majority of their media outlets is not owned by foreigners.
The minister completely ruled out the possibility that such video can be recorded of a member of Hungary’s government.
