Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his Polish counterpart Mateusz Morawiecki will be the speakers at official celebrations of Hungary’s national holiday on March 15, government spokesman Istvan Hollik said on the government’s website on Saturday.
Celebrations will start at 9am by hoisting the national flag in front of Parliament, then participants will walk across the Inner City to the National Museum. Morawiecki will speak at the museum at 10.30am, to be followed by Orban, Hollik said. He added that the holiday programme will continue all day in the park around the museum and in the Castle District.
On Sunday, Orban and Defence Minister Tibor Benko will fly to Warsaw, for celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the Visegrad countries’ NATO accession. The prime ministers of all four Visegrad countries will speak at the celebration near Warsaw before attending a military display and lunch with the defence ministers.
