“The government attacked the place I was sent to”

Hungary’s European commissioner, Tibor Navracsics didn’t believe the rumours that he had been sent to Brussels as a punishment. He told Civil Radio on Friday morning that he’s not sure about it anymore.

Navracsics – who serves as European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport – was also asked about the Hungarian government’s controversial billboard campaign, which depicts Navracsics’s boss, Jean-Claude Juncker with George Soros. According to the Commissioner, the debate will last at least until the European election on May, and maybe even after that.

He argued that the Commission has started to accept and recognize Hungary’s migration policy, but the government communicates that the Commission plans to increase migration and totally subordinate Hungary.

“I’m the commissioner who was sent here by the government, and in the next moment they attacked the place I was sent to,”

Navracsics said.
