Hungarian President Janos Ader has expressed his condolences to his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella over the collapse of a motorway bridge near the port city of Genoa on Tuesday.
In his telegram, Ader expressed his sympathies to Mattarella and the families of the victims and wished those injured in the disaster a speedy recovery. Earlier on Tuesday, a section of a concrete bridge built on the A10 motorway came down from a height of about 100 metres during a sudden and violent storm near Genoa, killing at least 22 people, according to the latest reports.
On Wednesday, Parliamentary Speaker Laszlo Kover has also expressed his condolences to Italian Senate President Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati and Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Roberto Fico. Kover expressed his deepest sympathies with his Italian colleagues and the families of the victims of the tragedy and wished a speedy recovery to those who had been injured, his press chief, Zoltan Szilagyi said.
