Dries Van Langenhove, the leader of the Flemish Schild und Vrienden right-wing students’ organisation had the opportunity to hold a conversation with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at the 29th Balvanyos Summer Open University and Student Camp in Tusnadfurdo (Baile Tusnad), Transylvania, Romania.
According to the organisation’s Facebook page, Orban told Van Langenhove – who attended a panel talk at the festival – that
“If you don’t awaken your nation as soon as possible, Belgium will be dramatically different in 5 or 10 years time.”
He added that “tendencies which are going on are not just unpleasant, not just inconvenient, they’re changing dramatically the basis of civilisation”.
“Stand up and fight! What I regularly hear is people that they say ‘we can’t change, it’s impossible’, but simply don’t believe that. It depends on what you want. If you would like to change, simply change. But you need proper partners and strategical alliances, the team is very important”
