Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s first official meeting with Russia’s president takes place in September in Moscow, foreign and Hungarian diplomatic sources confirmed to Index.
The article notes that Vladimir Putin and Viktor Orban usually meet around February each year, either in Moscow or Budapest, so it was expected that Orban travels to Moscow sometime after the Hungarian parliamentary elections in April.
Putin visited Budapest last August for the opening of the judo world cup and paid an official visit to Hungary in February 2017 too. Orban visited him in Moscow in 2016, and Putin was in Budapest in 2015 too.
