Holvenyi: Stop lecturing Poland!

“As a Hungarian MEP I’m very glad to we are discussing our common future together with the prime minister of Poland. When Europe’s future is the question, we have to clearly see that we can’t speak about a strong EU without a strong Poland,” Hungarian MEP Gyorgy Holvenyi said in connection with the EP plenary debate with Mateusz Morawiecki.

According to the Christian Democrat (KDNP) politician, “instead of low-quality ideological debates and lecturing” the EU should seek a dialogue with Poland. He stressed that Europe needs a vision, and only those – like Poland – can have a clear vision, who have a vision about nation and family.

Holvenyi said that the Visegrad Group and Poland are looking for answers to the European problems. “A friend is one who understands your past, believes in your future and accept you as you are,” he added.
