Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has congratulated his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban on his recent election win in a letter, MTI learnt from Orban’s press office on Thursday.
In his letter, Rutte expressed his country’s readiness for further cooperation with Hungary both in terms of bilateral and international relations.
Referring to challenges for the European Union, the Dutch PM called for effective leadership and cooperation, and voiced hope that Hungary, as an important member of the EU, will work constructively together with the Netherlands and with other EU partners.
Concluding his letter, Rutte wished Orban wisdom and much success to cope with the important issues ahead.
