The government has decided to allocate nearly 1.9 billion forints (EUR 6.1m) extra resources on implementing counter-terrorism measures this year, the official gazette Magyar Kozlony reported on Tuesday.
The decision showed that the government had approved, with immediate effect, the increase of the allocation for counter-terrorism measures by 1.9 billion forints. The economy minister and the interior minister are in charge of the measure, it added.
The interior ministry said last May that significantly more funding would be made available for counter-terrorism measures in 2018 than in 2017. Some 100 million forints were allocated in 2017. This year, 410 million forints were allocated for operational costs and nearly 1.1 billion forints for accumulated costs.
