Prime Minister Viktor Orban will address a commemoration of Hungary’s 1848 revolution in front of the Parliament building on March 15, the government spokesman announced.
Zoltan Kovacs spoke at a press conference on Sunday, and invited “all those for whom Hungary’s freedom, independence, and sovereignty is important” to attend the event starting at 2pm.
“We must not let others decide on the future of the country, that is why it is important that as many as possible should come,” Kovacs insisted. He also voiced hope that participants in the Peace March organised by the pro-government Civil Union Forum (COF), held on the same day, will also join the central commemoration.
