Hungary and Austria share the goal of boosting legal competitiveness and cutting red tape, and so the two countries’ justice ministries want to work more closely in the future, Laszlo Trocsanyi, the justice minister, said on Friday, commenting on a recent meeting with his Austrian counterpart.
Together with Josef Moser, Austria’s new justice minister, Trocsanyi reviewed tasks connected with general data protection regulation. They established that the level of data protection should be maintained because European regulation cannot impinge on small and medium-sized firms.
Trocsanyi informed his counterpart about the most important Hungarian cases before the European Court of Human Rights and invited the Austrian minister to pay a visit to Hungary, which Moser accepted.
