Orban goes Vienna

Prime Minister Viktor Orban is scheduled to meet Sebastian Kurz, Austria’s new federal chancellor, on January 30, Orban’s press chief told MTI on Thursday.

According to press reports, Orban will also meet Heinz-Christian Strache, head of Austria’s Freedom Party, and other Austrian officials.

Press chief Bertalan Havasi said preparations for his talks in Vienna were under way but declined to disclose further details.

Orban announced on January 3 that he wished to meet Austrian leaders before the end of the month, and suggested that the four Visegrad countries should build “intensive” ties with Austria.
