Prime Minister Viktor Orban is to give a lecture and a Q&A in Berlin on Wednesday as part of a closed-door economic summit organised by the publishing company Axel Springer, the PM’s press chief told Hungarian tabloid Blikk.
Blikk said Orban would speak about Europe finding its identity. He will say that Europe must stick to its Christian roots, and the European Union can only be successful if it remains a community of nation states. Orban will also declare the failure of EU migration policy in his speech.
The PM will also say that the Visegrad Group has greater economic weight in the bloc than France, for instance.
The event called WELT Wirtschaftsgipfel 2018 takes place in the Axel Springer Haus in Berlin, and according to the newspaper Chatham House Rule applies.
