Vona summarises Jobbik’s goals

The chairman of the strongest opposition party, Jobbik outlined the main points their government would focus on, if they win the parliamentary elections in 2018.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Gabor Vona stressed that the “step zero” is accountability (Vona was referring to Jobbik’s promise to hold corrupt officials and businessmen to account – HJ), and in parallel to that, there are seven points they’d focus on.

According to Vona, Jobbik’s priorities are maintaining the country’s security against the challenges of migration and terrorism; restoring the requirements of democratic functioning; decreasing social divisions by focusing on the future and determining common national goals; eliminating corruption; improving the country’s competitiveness by a historic contract with Hungarian companies and by strengthening education, health care and the pension system; stopping emigration by the wage union, house building reform and new family policy, and increasing Hungary’s international prestige by consistent and authentic diplomacy.
