The EU procedure against Poland is unlawful, Hungary stands by Poland in this issue, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in an interview aired on Polish TVP on Wednesday evening.
Answering to a question about the Article 7 procedure, Viktor Orban stated: Poland suffers injustice. He stressed that the Hungarian stance is not only a question of Polish-Hungarian friendship, but a Central European interest too.
The motive behind the debate between Brussels and Warsaw is that our region has become a significant actor on the European scene, the prime minister highlighted.
Orban said that Central European states want their contribution to Europe’s economic development to be reflected in their impact on EU affairs.
