Li Keqiang, China’s prime minister expressed his gratitude for the organisation of the China-CEE 16+1 summit and the warm welcome in Budapest in a letter to his Hungarian counterpart, Viktor Orban.
The Hungarian PM’s press chief Bertalan Havasi informed Hungarian news agency MTI that Li Keqiang expressed sincere gratitude for the the warm-hearted and friendly welcome he received from the Hungarian prime minister, the government and the people. He stressed that China considers Hungary “a good partner in the Central Eastern European region, a good friend in the European Union and a good partner who communicates and coordinates directly in international issues”.
“We are ready to make joint efforts to maintain the momentum of further Chinese-Hungarian cooperation and development,”
– the prime minister wrote. According to Li Keqiang the China-CEE summit – with Orban’s personal support and attention – reached significant success.
