Croatian president to visit Budapest

Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic seeks explanation for the blockage of Croatia’s OECD membership in Budapest.

Croatian president travels for a working visit to Budapest on Tuesday, and she will use to opportunity to seek an explanation of Hungary’s veto to Croatia’s membership in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Besides her meetings with the country’s leaders, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic receives honorary doctorate title from the Corvinus University of Budapest.

The Hungarian announcement regarding Croatia’s OECD candidacy followed Slovenia’s announcement of its intention to block Croatian membership because of a border debate.
